Cool Mats
These cool mats or beds are a great way to keep your pet cool during the hot summer months. These beds are made with medium size polymer crystals which are safe and non-toxic. Cool mats work on the principal of evaporative cooling. Once the polymer is hydrated, the fabric surface of the cool bed draws the moisture from the polymer to the fabric surface, which evaporates resulting in an effective body cooler. Just soak the mats in warm water to hydrate. If desired, place your mat in a zip lock bag and place it in the refrigerator. This will keep the cool mat hydrated for months. We recommend hand washing in a mild soap, rinse throroughly and hang in a well ventialted area to dry.
Cool Mats with vinyl back
These cool mats are similar to the other cool mats above except that they are made with a vinyl backing which helps protect the mat andkeeps them cleaner. With the vinyl back there is less wet area and tends to keep one side of the mat dryer. Still works in the same way using the polymer crystals.
